Paraguay Head Coach Eduardo Berizzo Vows To Reduce Messi’s supply On Thursdays Match.
Following Thursday’s match in Asuncion, Argentina will host Uruguay and Peru on October 10 and 14, respectively, in Buenos Aires. On October 10, Paraguay will face Chile in Santiago, then Bolivia four days later in La Paz.

Berizzo told reporters that his players had been advised on how to block Messi’s teammates in Thursday’s match, noting that stopping the 34-year-old Paris Saint-Germain star once he has control is fruitless.

“When playing against Messi, the first thing to think about is putting pressure on those who are passing the ball to him,” the Argentine manager remarked.

“If a player has the capacity to pass to Messi, you will be subjected to the best of Messi’s play – his control, ball contact, acceleration, and dribbling.

“We need to put pressure on those around him so he doesn’t get as many chances to be in possession Berizzo remarked.
