Partey’s Potential Juventus Move Sparks Debate among Arsenal Supporters

Thomas Partey has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Juventus for a proposed transfer worth £17 million, signaling his potential departure from Arsenal.

The Ghanaian international, who has turned down offers from Saudi Arabia, has attracted the attention of Massimiliano Allegri, the Juventus manager, who is a strong admirer of the talented midfielder.

Juventus had previously expressed interest in acquiring Partey’s services two years ago.

However, a deal could not materialize at the time due to Arsenal’s steep asking price.

The current circumstances suggest that a transfer is now more feasible, as Arsenal is open to selling Partey this summer to avoid the risk of losing him for free when his contract expires in June 2024.

Juventus are increasingly confident that a transfer fee ranging from €18-20 million (£15-17 million) would be sufficient to secure the services of Thomas Partey, a player highly regarded by manager Massimiliano Allegri.

However, the reported fee for the potential deal has left Arsenal supporters infuriated.

According to Sky Sports in Italy, Arsenal is set to receive a mere £17 million for Partey, despite the fact that he turned down a move to Saudi Arabia that would have reportedly earned the Gunners £35.4 million in installments.

Nevertheless, it seems Partey’s preference lies in remaining in Europe rather than pursuing the abundant riches of the Middle East.

In response to this news, enraged fans took to Twitter to express their discontent.

One supporter expressed their frustration, stating, “It’s absurd how if Juventus were to inquire about Chiesa or Vlahovic, they would demand £80 million, but when it comes to Partey, they expect Arsenal to settle for just £17 million. 🙄 Serie A clubs can be infuriating 😑.”

Another fan questioned Arsenal’s decision, saying, “I can’t understand why we’re accepting it. I would rather keep Partey for two more years and let him leave on a free transfer than sell him for a measly £17 million. He is a fantastic player 😩.”

A third individual voiced their opinion, stating, “I strongly prefer that Partey remains at Arsenal until 2025 and departs on a free transfer, rather than him joining Juventus for a paltry £17 million. 👍”

Meanwhile, a fourth commenter added, “Ideally, we should hold onto Thomas for another successful season. But let’s hope for an even better one.”
