R. Kelly, the incarcerated singer currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, has expressed deep concerns about the alleged negligence of prison medical staff following a recent operation to treat blood clots.

In audio obtained by RapHouseTV, Kelly lamented that even animals receive better treatment than he has experienced while behind bars.

Accusing the medical staff at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center of mishandling his procedure, Kelly expressed his fear of losing his life and emphasized that he does not believe he deserves such a fate.

He voiced frustration, stating that someone either miscommunicated or made an uninformed decision regarding his leg condition. He firmly asserted that he should not have to face such risks and questioned the logic behind taking chances with his health.

The renowned singer appealed to listeners, urging them to imagine the situation from the perspective of their own loved ones. He asked them to consider how they would react if a family member faced a similar predicament, stressing the importance of seeking proper medical attention and care.

“If it was your child, if it was your father, if it was your mother, somebody you loved, you would’ve said, ‘Go to the doctor. We need to get that checked out. We need to look at that. We need to X-ray that.’” Kelly said.

Kelly expressed concern for his own well-being, claiming that his statements were fueled by fear and referencing the alleged inhumane treatment he has endured. He went as far as to say that animals are treated better than he has been in the prison system.

Back in March, Kelly’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, criticized the medical staff at the Metropolitan Correctional Center for their negligent approach to her client’s healthcare.

She condemned the lack of medical assistance provided to inmates, emphasizing that every prison should be obligated to provide adequate medical care. Bonjean underscored the MCC’s responsibility to address such matters competently, emphasizing that it is not solely an issue concerning R. Kelly but a broader concern for the overall well-being of prisoners.
