Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino didn’t hold back in his criticism of his team, accusing them of “giving up” during their humiliating 5-0 loss to Arsenal.

The first half also saw a dangerous challenge from Nicholas Jackson on Takehiro Tomiyasu, which could have seen Chelsea reduced to 10 men.
In the second half, Arsenal continued their dominance with goals from
Kai Havertz and Ben White each scored twice in a dominant second-half display by Mikel Arteta’s team to secure a comprehensive victory over Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The defeat marked Arsenal’s largest-ever victory over Chelsea, with Kai Havertz scoring twice against his former club.

The performance was so disappointing that many Chelsea fans at the Emirates Stadium decided to leave early in the second half, feeling that the team had surrendered.

“Then we became a bit sloppy and we lost one or two balls in dangerous areas and they can punish you and we should have got punished and in the second half we reacted.”
