Police arrest man in viral video who abused his toddler beating him 21 times (VIDEO)

A father who was shown in a viral video severely hitting his own child, a little toddler, has finally been apprehended by Ghanaian police.

Many Ghanaians have been in unrest for the past few days following a viral video that saw a man whipping his barely three-year-old son as he screams in pain in the pressence of other men while none of them made no attempt to rescue the young lad.

He whipped the boy at least 21 times in the 1:18-minute length video

Many called on the police to arrest the man for giving such treatment to his own son.

Ghana police reacting to the news placed a 2,000 Ghana Cedis bounty as they pleaded with loyal Ghanaian citizens to help them find the man so he gets what the law has for him.

Child Rights International, a non-governmental organization, denounced the beating and also offered a 10,000 Ghana Cedis reward for the man’s capture.

The good news we have received at Townflex has it that Ghana Police has finally apprehended the man and he is currently in police custody to attone for his crime.

The suspect, who is identified as Richard Kofi, was picked up at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Akaa Buem in Jasikan in the Oti Region.

Big thanks to Ghana police for their assistance, in rescuing the young boy from such horror, they reacted in less than 24 hours after the news went viral.

The law enforcement personnel stormed the Akaa Buem township on Wednesday where they picked up the suspect, Richard as well as his wife who lived separately from him, He was first taken to the chief’s palace to explain the reason behind his crime before being taken away by the police.
