In a shocking and tragic crime, a 16-year-old pregnant teen, Emilly Sena, was brutally murdered in Brazil by a woman who slashed open her abdomen to steal her unborn baby.
The horrifying incident occurred in the Brazilian city of Cuiabá, where Sena’s lifeless body was found buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of a home on March 14, 2024.
The killer, 25-year-old Nataly Pereira, lured Sena to her home under the false pretense of offering donated baby clothes.
Once inside, Pereira attacked Sena, hanging her before using a sharp object to remove the baby from her womb. Forensic experts revealed that Sena was alive when her baby was taken, and her body showed signs of a brutal slashing attack.
Pereira had fabricated a pregnancy and tricked her husband, Christian de Arruda, into believing she had just given birth.
De Arruda, who was unaware of his wife’s crime, posted a photo on social media celebrating the birth of his “daughter,” with the caption: “Be well my daughter.”

The couple attempted to register the baby at a local hospital on March 13, but hospital staff grew suspicious after noticing that Pereira had no signs of childbirth.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Pereira had faked her pregnancy. Pereira eventually confessed to the gruesome murder, admitting that she had killed Sena and stolen her baby.
Pereira, who had suffered two recent miscarriages, had reportedly been desperate to have a child.
Authorities initially arrested three people in connection with the crime, but they were released after Pereira confessed to acting alone.
