Prophet Fufeyin donates N5m to support Mr. Ibu’s burial

Philanthropist and founder of Christ Mercy Land Church Warri, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has donated N5 million to support the burial of the late veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor popularly called Mr. Ibu.

Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin who has been honoured with the Nollywood Best of Friend Award, made the donation when members of the burial committee visited Fufeyin at his church to seek support.

According to Prophet Jeremiah N2 million of the donation will be going to Mr. Ibu’s immediate family while the remaining N3 million goes to the funeral planning committee for the burial.

The cleric who had initially offered the family of the Sound Engineer Precious Ofurum, who died alongside Junior Pope and four others in River Niger, N10 million, added an extra N1 million when they came down to appreciate the man of God.

The Popular Nollywood star, Mr. Ibu, passed away on Saturday afternoon, March 2, 2024. The news of his death comes a few days after he was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Evercare Hospital, Lekki.

Mr. Ibu, also known as John Okafor, will be laid to rest on June 28, 2024, according to a statement released by the family spokesperson.
