Qatar donates equipment to the Ministry of Youth and Sports

According to Mustapha Ussif, Minister of Youth and Sports, Ghana and Qatar have enjoyed a friendly and mutually beneficial relationship for a long time, and the Emirate’s most recent gesture of kindness is evidence of this. 

At the State of Qatar’s official presentation of various equipment to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, he made this statement. 

The donation is in support of Ghana’s successful hosting of the recently concluded 13th African Games, Accra 2023, and is a part of the Qatar 2022 World Cup Legacy project.

During his presentation on behalf of the Qatari ambassador to Ghana, Mohammed Hamad Al Marri, the charge d’affaires of the Qatari embassy in Accra, emphasised the importance of fortifying the relationship between Ghana and Qatar and pledged to maintain the high level of cooperation between the two countries.

He reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to helping friendly nations like Ghana by supplying a portion of the facilities and equipment used at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

After accepting the equipment, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, thanked the Emir of Qatar, the Minister of Culture and Sports of Qatar, and the Qatari Ambassador in Accra on behalf of the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

The Minister went on to say that he had proposed to the people of Qatar expanding collaboration between the two countries and establishing the Ghana-Qatar Legacy Project, which will help improve Ghana’s sporting facilities.

The Minister went on to say that he had presented the Qataris with a plan to establish the Ghana-Qatar Legacy Project, which will help to improve Ghana’s sporting facilities, and to increase collaboration between the two countries.Mobile phones, computers, media working tables, office desks, task chairs, and swivel chairs were among the donated equipment.
