Raphael Dwamena, a former Black Stars striker has been laid to rest

Following the former Black Stars striker’s departure, the penultimate burial rites for the late Raphael Dwamena were held at the Adjiriganor Astro Turf in Legon.

Dwamena, 28, went into cardiac arrest while playing for the Albanian league team Egnatia, and died on November 11, 2023.

Dwamena suffered from a cardiac ailment that resulted in his collapse during a league game. He had a defibrillator implanted in his heart prior to his death.

Former Black Stars players Augustine Arhinful, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Ibrahim Tanko, Kwadwo Asamoah, Isaac Vorsah, and Sulley Muntari attended Raphael Dwamena’s burial.

To honour the guy who scored twice in nine Black Stars appearances, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, Executive Council member Eugene Nobel, and President Kurt of the Ghana Football Association were there.
