Raphina fulfils his promise in El Clasico clash, Xavi and Ancelotti’s Verdict

Xavi’s side FC Barcelona continued their good start as they beat thier arch-rivals Real Madrid 0-1 in their pre-season tour in Las Vegas.

The Catalan giants beats their arch-rivals Real Madrid for the second time in two matches, Saturdays game saw a battle of emotions, and passion on the field along side high quality football.

Raphinha’s first-half stunning strike was enough to seperate the both sides as Real Madrid side failed to muster up a single shot on target in last saturdays game in Las Vagas.

Xavi’s new signing who scored once and assisted twice in first game said he wants to score against Real Madrid which he did with an incredible long range goal that seperated both sides.

The Blaugrana’s marquee signing Robert Lewandowski made his first appearance in El classico clash and played the first 45 minutes for his new side. His hunger for goals was visible during the start of the game which the fans loved and enjoyed his energy.

However, Thibaut Courtois was very brilliant for Real Madrid who were unable to keep up the pace at the start of the game from embarrasment.

Belgian shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois who made a total of four saves during the last ten minutes of the match was the most important player for the Spanish champions on the pitch.

Xavi’s verdict on the performance after the game to the media, saying:

“Content. We have felt good.”

“The least important thing is winning, but we Cules love beating Real Madrid. The first half was excellent, the second less good. The team looks good physically.”

“I saw a good Barca, but we have to be more reliable [in the box].”

“We were better than Real Madrid. I am satisfied, beyond the result. I even managed to enjoy it on the bench.”

“We are creating a great amount of excitement amongst Cules. For us it is an important victory.”

Carlo Ancelotti verdict on the performance after the game to the media:

“I think we have a better squad now than the one we had last year,” the Italian stated after the match.

“In training, you can see that there is even more intensity,” He said.

“I think there was a lot of intensity in this match, especially in the first half, and I thought it was an even game.”

“I tried to spread out the minutes among the players. I wanted to play some younger players.”

“Overall, I liked this performance against a strong opponent.”
