In a heartwarming yet surprising decision, the late Indian billionaire Ratan Tata, who passed away earlier this month at the age of 86, has bequeathed a significant portion of his £91 million fortune to his cherished German shepherd, Tito.

Tata, the visionary behind high-profile acquisitions such as Jaguar, Land Rover, and Tetley, made headlines not just for his business acumen but for his unconventional will.
Traditionally, one would expect a businessman of his stature to leave his estate to family members, but Tata chose to overlook his brother, Jimmy Tata, and half-sisters Shireen and Deanna Jejeebhoy in favor of Tito.

In his will, Tata outlined provisions for “unlimited care” for Tito, ensuring that his loyal pet would receive the love and attention he deserves.

According to Suhel Seth, a close friend of Tata, the arrangements made for them are both substantial and secure, allowing them to live comfortably without the need to work again.
Seth emphasized that the will is more than a testament to wealth; it is a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for the joy and companionship Tata received from his pets and devoted aides.
