Man City vs Manchester: Rangnick explains why Ronaldo, Cavani, Others Absent In Line-Up

Ralf Rangnick, the interim manager of Premier League club Manchester United has explained why there are high-profile players who will not be playing at Sunday’s match against Manchester City.

Why Ronaldo, Cavani, Others Absent

Well, after taking a good look at the squad for United, you could notice that the team is missing some significant players who a lot of fans were looking out for but unfortunately they will not make it.

Manchester United will have to play without the likes of; Cristiano Ronaldo, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, and Edinson Cavani who has still not recovered in time to feature, despite returning to training.

Speaking in regards to Rapha Varane and Luke Shaw, Ralf Rangnick confirmed that the two player have however tested positive for Covid-19. He also added that Edinson Cavani in last three days but he at the end feel quite well enough to play, while Cristiano Ronaldo had some problems with his hip flexor on Friday and since then he wasn’t able to train.

“Rapha Varane and Luke Shaw tested positive with Covid unfortunately in midweek,” he told us. “Edi trained well in the last three days but, at the end, he didn’t feel quite well enough to be able to play. And Cristiano had some problems with his hip flexor on Friday and since then, he didn’t train.” Ralf Said.
