Before a Riyadh Season Cup match, Cristiano Ronaldo witnessed the unexpected presence of WWE legend The Undertaker.
Ronaldo, who turned 39 this past Thursday, waited in queue as Al-Nassr got ready to face Al-Hilal before the legendary wrestler showed up.
The Undertaker emerged from the tunnel at the Kingdom Arena wearing his full WWE uniform, his theme music blasting.
Then, as both sides lined up before kickoff, the cult legend walked out onto the pitch and touched the Riyadh Season Cup.
The Undertaker was seen lifting the trophy in footage on X, and then the cameras turned to Ronaldo and his teammates smiling heartily as they took in the scene.
The Undertaker’s visit makes sense because Saudi Arabia hosts two exclusive live events for the WWE each year thanks to an ongoing cooperation between the two countries.
In the meanwhile, Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr allows for outside appearances; in December, he and Conor McGregor will both compete in boxing in Saudi Arabia.
The Al-Nassr hero, who is approaching the end of his 30s, thanked everyone on social media in a statement sent on Wednesday.
Ronaldo celebrated the occasion by going back to training on Monday after healing from a calf injury.
Nevertheless, he managed to spend some time enjoying the festivities with his loved ones, sharing a photo of himself and his newly 30-year-old partner Rodriguez on Instagram, together with four of his five kids.
“Happy to spend my 39th birthday the best way possible: with my family and back on the training pitch,” he wrote beside the photo. I appreciate all of the kind messages.
Ronaldo displayed three birthday cakes in addition to a sizable arrangement of flowers that he received.
