Billionaire entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, recently named the third richest man in the UK, made his inaugural visit to Anfield after acquiring a minority share in Liverpool FC.
The Virgin Group founder, who sealed the deal just before the New Year, spent a fruitful three hours engaging with key executives and football operations personnel at the iconic stadium.
During the meeting, Branson, who secured a 20% stake in the club, held discussions with Liverpool’s CEO, Peter Moore, and Sporting Director, Michael Edwards.
The agenda included strategic plans to enhance the team’s performance and overall success.
Reports suggest that Branson’s visit did not include any members of the Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool FC’s current owners.
The discussions, marked by a working lunch, centered on the billionaire’s initial visions for elevating the club’s standing in the Premier League.
