Veteran Nigerian Nollywood Actor, Chinwetalu Agu has been arrested by Nigerian Soldiers in the Upper Iweka area of Anambra state over his choice of wearing a Biafran Flag outfit.

The flag of the former Republic of Biafra consists of a horizontal tricolour of red, black, and green, charged with a golden rising sun over a golden bar.

Red represents the blood of those massacred in northern Nigeria and in the consequent Nigeria-Biafra war. Black is for mourning them and in remembrance. Green is for prosperity and the half of a yellow/golden sun stands for a glorious future. The sun has eleven rays, representing the eleven provinces of Biafra.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian Government has however placed a ban on the display of the Biafran Flag in any part of the country.
It could be remembered that the Nollywood actor despite the ban placed on the flag/colours, caused a stir as pictures of him went viral on social media which saw him wear an outfit displaying the Biafran flag colour.
Well, in a new video making rounds on social media sighted by Townflex, Agu was stopped by the Nigerian Army where no time was wasted as they brought him out from his vehicle to answer questions.
According to information gathered from some people who shared their views regarding the incident after witnessing what went down said the Veteran actor, Chinwetalu Agu was brutalized by soldiers for wearing a Biafran flag outfit.
At some point in the video, the actor was spotted out of his car which had the inscription “Chinwetalu Films”.
The car was then searched by the security operatives before he was manhandled by the soldiers who fired some shots to scare off the crowd which gathered.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Upper Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra state, Nigeria – according to blogger Linda Ikeji.
