The victory, courtesy of a Joel Ward own-goal and a match-winning goal from Son Heung-min, brought positivity back to Spurs after a challenging period following Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure.

Post-match, the manager, whose infectious personality has played a significant role in the team’s success, spoke to Sky Sports.

During the interview, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher teased him, suggesting that he was merely imitating Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

However, the manager skillfully redirected the remark toward Gary Neville, showcasing his quick wit and humor.

Jamie Carragher: “Do you think as the season goes on you can get your ideas across, because at the moment you’re just copying Pep, aren’t you?”

Postecoglou replied: “I mean, I just study one game per week to see what he’s doing and go from there. You know there’s nothing wrong with that!”

Carragher chimed in, remarking, “He’s done quite well, to be fair.”

Neville then shared his thoughts, humorously admitting that he too attempted to emulate Guardiola during his short-lived managerial venture at Valencia.

“I tried to copy him (Pep).” Neville said with a chuckle.

To which Postecoglou brilliantly responded: “How’d that go?”

Postecoglou’s sharp humor left Neville and Carragher in fits of laughter.

Before heading back to the changing room, Postecoglou couldn’t resist cracking one more joke: “I’m off to watch Man City.”

The manager was keen not to diminish the excitement of the jubilant Spurs fans.

When questioned about whether they should be allowed to dream, he responded with encouragement, stating, “Let them dream. It’s what being a football fan is all about.”

“It’s fair to say that this lot have suffered a fair bit so I’m certainly not going to dampen that.”
