Later, police received a call about a gunshot at a LA hotel, where they discovered Stephen. He was discovered in the hotel after allegedly shooting himself with a gun.

Stephen’s wife, Allison Holker Boss, confirmed his death in a statement to People magazine.

She said:

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us.” Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. “He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt.

“I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honour his memory.”

” We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.

“Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I’ll always save the last dance for you,” she said.

Just three days prior to the tragedy, the couple celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary, and Allison posted a touching message online.

They were married in 2013 and had three kids together. They co-hosted “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings” on Disney +.

Boss is survived by his wife, also a professional dancer, and their three children, Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3.

Boss rose to prominence as a participant on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project before finishing second on Star Search. Later, in 2008, he appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, finishing as a runner-up and later returning as an All-Star. When the show returned in 2022, he was a judge.

Stephen Boss worked on Ellen’s show from 2014 until 2022 and was promoted to executive producer in 2020.

LAPD spokesman disclosed that the incident was being handled by the LA County Coroner’s office as there were no signs of ‘foul play’.
