18-year-old suspect, Ayuba Hamza, has been arrested by the post for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl in Jabbi Lamba village, Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
The cops have arrived. DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the state’s spokesperson, stated in a statement on Saturday, June 5, that the suspect took advantage of the girl after her parents divorced and she was placed in the care and custody of her grandmother.
“Investigation revealed that the culprit, who was a close neighbor of the victim, committed the crime twice before he was caught,” Nguroje added. The grandma who caught the culprit in the act cried and alerted several neighbors, resulting in the culprit’s arrest by the Jabbi Lamba Police Department.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, while commanding officers and men for exposing and making it impossible for the suspect to escape arrest, directed for discreet investigations into the case as the victim is under medical attention.
Meanwhile, as part of the efforts at tackling criminal activities and other related offences in the state, the CP directed all DPOs to go after anyone committing such heinous crimes and apprehend them.
