Actress and singer Teyana Taylor is facing a public divorce drama as she accuses her estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, of leaking their private legal matters to the public.
The couple had initially announced their separation amicably on social media in September, with Taylor referring to Shumpert as her ‘bestie.’
According to TMZ, Teyana filed for divorce in January, using only their initials to maintain privacy for their children.

However, recent legal filings by Shumpert reportedly breached that privacy, exposing their full names and turning their divorce into a matter of public record.
In court documents, the “White Men Can’t Jump” actress alleges that Shumpert’s insecurities about their respective levels of fame contributed to the downfall of their seven-year marriage.
Taylor accuses Shumpert of displaying extreme narcissistic behavior and cruelty throughout most of their relationship.
She claims that Shumpert’s growing resentment towards her fame led to frequent arguments initiated via text messages, followed by apologies in a toxic cycle.

Last Friday, Taylor confirmed the divorce through a statement on social media, expressing her disappointment that private court documents had been leaked to the public.
She emphasized her commitment to protecting her family’s privacy and urged the public to allow them the space to resolve the matter peacefully.
In her statement, Taylor said, “It is very heartbreaking that someone would take out the time to make such a private matter public for the world to see.
However, protecting my family is one thing I’ve ALWAYS done & for my children, I will continue to do so.”
