EURO 2020: Meet the teams and Venues

The new UEFA EURO 2020 tournament Rescheduled gets underway in Rome on June 11 and runs through to Sunday July 11 , with 11 host cities staging the 51 fixtures. Semi-finals and final take place at Wembley Stadium.

The revised dates were approved by the UEFA Executive Committee on 17 June 2020, with the tournament now taking place from 11 June to 11 July 2021. UEFA EURO 2020 was postponed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Revised venues were approved by the UEFA Executive Committee on 23 April 2021.

The Olimpico in Rome has been picked to host the opening game of UEFA EURO 2020 after the UEFA Executive Committee made a number of decisions relating to the tournament venues during its meeting in Nyon.

The Olimpico in Rome has been selected as the venue for the opening match.

Due to the Eurostadium project’s failure to meet the conditions imposed by the UEFA Executive Committee during its meeting of 20 September 2017, the four matches (three group, one round of 16) initially scheduled to be held in Brussels will now be allocated to London’s Wembley Stadium following a vote by the committee. This means Wembley will host a total of seven matches since London was already set to stage the semi-finals and final of the tournament.

The host city pairings have been decided by means of a random draw – from six different lists of city pairings established on the basis of sporting strength and geographical considerations
