Just as many of you are aware, The Christian-born Ghanaian-Arsenal player is now a Muslim, and he has finally opened up as to the reason he decided to switch from Christian to becoming an Islamic man in the video below.
News of the 28-year-old footballer came to light some months ago back in March 2022 as a photo of him popped up on the internet which he also posted on his official Instagram page while holding the Quoran.
UK-based sports journalist also confirmed the new of the Arsenal midfielder switching from Christian to Islam.

The Arsenal Star who is born with his legal name as Thomas Teye Partey has finally opened up to the reason behind his switch of religion.
According to him, he switched to Islam because of his love for his Moroccan girlfriend.
This was during a short chat between himself and ace Ghanaian broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah, where he also revealed his Muslim name as Yakubu.
When asked when exactly is he getting married t his Moroccan girlfriend he answered by saying he is already married to her.
“I have a girl I love, I know my side chics will leave me but it’s no problem… I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it’s the same thing”. he added.

Partey recently got enstooled as a chief at Manya Krobo, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Ghanaian professional footballer and Arsenal FC star was honored by his hometown, Manya Krobo with the title of “Mahefalor” which translates as the ‘defender of the Krobo Traditional Area in a short ceremony that took place on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, enstooled by Nene Sakite II.
The Arsenal midfielder is also being honoured for his goal that qualified Ghana Black Stars to the Qatar FiFa World Cup 2022, also for his football exploits as well as his Thomas Partey Foundation which he founded back in 2021.
The Foundation aims to “create opportunities and hope for talented and less privileged youngsters” in the two areas where Partey grew up, Odumase Krobo and Ashaiman.
