Blink-182 Postpones Shows as Travis Barker Rushes Home for ‘Urgent Family Matter’

The American rock band, Blink-182, slated to embark on their European tour today, on the auspicious Friday of September 1, 2023, has been compelled to make an announcement which involves their memeber, Travis Barker.

An ‘Urgent Family Matter’ has arisen, necessitating the return of their drummer, Travis Barker, to his homeland, and in consequence, certain tour dates are regrettably canceled and postponed.

The band, comprising Barker, Tom DeLonge, and Mark Hoppus, chose the official Instagram platform to announce the development early on Friday morning. Their message conveyed the unavoidable deferment of several upcoming tour dates, a decision precipitated by Barker’s unavailability.

While Travis Barker has yet to publicly articulate the specifics surrounding this ‘urgent family matter,’ the band, in its official statement, assured the audience that comprehensive information concerning his reintegration into the tour, as well as the rescheduled dates, will promptly follow.

“Due to an urgent family matter, Travis has had to return home to the States,  the Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin shows are being postponed. More information in regards to his return to Europe and rescheduled dates will be provided as soon as available.” The account shared in an Instagram Story.

It is noteworthy that neither Travis Barker nor his pregnant wife, Kourtney Kardashian, have issued any public statements in response to this matter.

However, given the circumstances, it appears to be a grave issue, although the precise nature remains elusive. Travis, in recent Instagram Story posts, offered a glimpse into the seriousness of the situation.

These posts depicted him in a prayer room, as evident in the accompanying photos.

Barker is already dad to son Landon Barker, 19, and daughter Alabama Barker, 17, with his ex Shanna Moakler. He and Kourtney are expecting a baby boy. They announced Kourtney’s pregnancy back in June after years of trying.
