Trump Questions Taylor Swift’s Potential Biden Endorsement in GOP Meeting

By Stermy 4 Min Read

Donald Trump‘s closed-door meeting with Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill today reportedly veered into unexpected territory, including a surprising discussion about pop superstar Taylor Swift.

Despite Swift not endorsing a candidate in the 2024 presidential race yet, she did endorse Joe Biden in the last election.

At the Capitol Hill Club, Trump reportedly expressed his confusion about her previous support for Biden. According to CNN, Trump told lawmakers, “Why would she endorse this dope. He doesn’t even know how to get off the stage.” Multiple media outlets have confirmed these comments.

Swift’s popularity has only soared since 2020, and there is significant speculation about whether she will endorse a candidate this year.

Before the Super Bowl, conspiracy theories suggested the game would be rigged to favor the Kansas City Chiefs so that Swift and her boyfriend, Chiefs player Travis Kelce, could announce their support for Biden. The Chiefs won the game, but no such endorsement followed.

In an interview for Variety, Trump described Swift as “very beautiful” and acknowledged her talent, though he remarked, “I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump.” These comments were made during a conversation with Ramin Setoodeh for his new book, “Apprentice in Wonderland,” which explores the making of the reality TV show.

Trump’s Meeting Highlights Various Controversial Topics

During the GOP meeting, Trump also touched on other issues, including abortion, and made several remarks that have quickly gone viral. Punchbowl News reported that Trump called Milwaukee, the site of the upcoming GOP convention, “a horrible city.”

He also referred to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter as “a wacko” and claimed she once told him, “if things were different Nancy and I would be perfect together, there’s an age difference though.”

Christine Pelosi, one of Nancy Pelosi’s daughters, responded to Trump’s comments on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Speaking for all 4 Pelosi daughters — this is a LIE. His deceitful, deranged obsession with our mother is yet another reason Donald Trump is unwell, unhinged and unfit to step foot anywhere near her — or the White House.”

This visit to Capitol Hill marks Trump’s first since leaving the White House in 2021. In response to his visit, Biden’s campaign released an ad titled “Burn,” highlighting Trump’s role in the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

The ad aimed to remind voters of the chaos surrounding Trump’s final days in office and to underscore Biden’s ongoing campaign messages about restoring dignity and order to the presidency.

As the 2024 election season heats up, Trump’s comments and actions continue to stir controversy and dominate headlines.

With public interest in potential celebrity endorsements and their impact on voter sentiment, figures like Taylor Swift remain at the center of political discourse.

Whether Swift will make an endorsement this election cycle remains uncertain, but Trump’s comments have certainly added fuel to the ongoing speculation.
