Victor Osimhen has expressed his desire to eventually compete in the Premier League.

Having scored eight goals in 18 games this season, Osimhen has sustained his impressive form following an outstanding performance of 31 goals in 39 matches for Napoli last season, contributing to their Serie A triumph.

Amid ongoing transfer rumors, Osimhen has emphasized his commitment to Napoli, citing his close relationship with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis and expressing his eagerness to contribute to another Scudetto triumph for the Italian side.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Osimhen expressed his contentment with the president: “I am happy with the president. I have a good relationship with him. I cannot lie. He has been with me since I signed for the club in 2020.”

When questioned about his interest in playing in the Premier League down the line, Osimhen acknowledged the possibility, stating, “Of course, one day, definitely.”

“But for now, I have other plans in my career that I am looking forward to. So when the time comes, everyone will know.”

Victor Osimhen rescued Nigeria from a potential upset against Equatorial Guinea in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener with a quick equalizer after Iban Salvador’s early goal.

Despite Salvador’s stylish first-half finish being the underdogs’ sole attempt on target, Osimhen’s prompt response spared Nigeria from a shock defeat.

The draw sets the stage for Nigeria’s upcoming match against Ivory Coast, featuring two formidable teams considered strong contenders for the AFCON title.
