Céline Dion Sings Impromptu Rendition of 'My Heart Will Go On' (with Golf-Themed Lyric) in Sweet Moment at TGL Match

Attendees at a recent TGL golf match were in for an unexpected treat when music icon Céline Dion broke into an impromptu performance of My Heart Will Go On.

The 56-year-old pop star made a rare public appearance at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on March 4, where she watched the showdown between the Atlanta Drive GC and Jupiter Links GC. But it wasn’t just her presence that stole the show—it was her spontaneous mini-performance during an interview that had the crowd buzzing.

During an on-site interview with ESPN’s Marty Smith, Dion was asked, “Which song from your catalogue best represents your golf game?” The question prompted enthusiastic audience participation, with fans shouting out song titles in anticipation.

“Okay, the one that comes to—oh, some people have suggestions,” Dion responded with a laugh, clearly enjoying the moment.

Then, in classic Céline fashion, she got into the opening lyrics of her Titanic soundtrack hit: “Near, far, where—come on!” Encouraging Smith to join in, she playfully modified the lyrics to fit the occasion, singing, “Wherever you are, I believe that my ball will go on.”

After their brief duet, Dion praised the sports reporter, quipping, “You’re not bad.”

Dion’s surprise performance comes as she continues to navigate life after being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022. While she stepped back from the stage following her diagnosis, the legendary singer made a powerful return at the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, where she delivered a moving rendition of Edith Piaf’s Hymne A L’Amour.

As 2024 came to a close, Dion shared a heartfelt message with her fans on Instagram, thanking them for their unwavering support and hinting at “endless possibilities” for 2025.
