Ghanaians are ecstatic when famed Senegalese artist Akon and Ghanaian tourism ambassador Afua Asantewaa, of Sing-A-Thon fame, crossed paths.
At the ongoing AFCON in Ivory Coast, where Ghana and Egypt drew courtesy to two goals from Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian broadcaster met Akon.
During their conversation, the well-known Senegalese-American musician voiced his surprise at Afua Asantewaa’s ability to sing uninterrupted for five days.
Akon introduced Afua to some of his African pals right away, stating:
Akon told his buddies with excitement, “You know she sang straight for five days, for singing for the longest.”
Afua wrote on Instagram, “I love music and it was a pleasure to have met you @akon @sofitelabidjan.”
