During the Limited Voter Registration procedure, two people who are reportedly National Democratic Congress (NDC) members from the Ablekuma North constituency have been seen arguing in public.

GhanaWeb saw a video of the two men—the youth organiser and the constituency organiser—fighting back in a video that Citinews posted on their X page.

The two irate parties had to be separated by onlookers’ intervention.

Eyewitness reports state that while the exact cause of the fight is unknown, it is speculated that it may have sprung from a disagreement over the Limited Voters Registration exercise.

“We are not done with the work yet, and two of you are fighting,” a person could be heard saying in the footage. Is that the best course of action for us right now? A complete Ablekuma North NDC organiser and young organiser, how can you be fighting at this time?”

In the meantime, the commission’s 258 district offices as well as an extra 785 centres are participating in the registration drive to make it easier for people who reside distant from district offices to receive services.

There are also 25 public universities that are acting as registration sites.
