Nigerian media personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, has sparked a heated debate on social media after revealing that he wouldn’t marry a virgin.

He argued that most virgins see their virginity as their pride and value, which could affect their decision-making abilities.

He said, “If I want to get married, I won’t marry a virgin. The fact that you are a virgin does not make you the best woman a man can marry.

Girls who are not virgins, in my opinion, make better decisions better, because most girls who are virgins believe that their virginity is their pride and value.”

The statement has since caused a stir on social media, with many people expressing their disagreement with Nedu’s opinion.

Some have accused him of promoting a toxic mentality, while others have argued that being a virgin or non-virgin should not be a factor in choosing a life partner.

Nedu, however, clarified that his opinion was a personal one, and he was not trying to impose it on others. He added that his statement did not mean that being a virgin is a bad thing.

In response, some social media users argued that Nedu’s opinion was outdated, while others commended him for being honest about his preference.

The debate on social media shows that there is still a lot of stigma surrounding virginity and sexuality in Nigeria.

While some people believe that being a virgin is a source of pride and value, others think that it should not be a factor in choosing a life partner.

Overall, Nedu’s statement has sparked an important conversation about the intersection of virginity, sexuality, and decision-making in relationships.
