Dozens of motorbike riders from all around Ghana came together in Accra on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, to pay their final respects to one of their own, Khalil Hammad, also known as Papa Lee.

Ghanaian entrepreneur and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama was also present during Papa Lee’s funeral and burial.

Ibrahim Mahama headed the group of riders that escorted the body, which was driven in a black hearse, from the Kanda Mosque, where Islamic prayers were offered for the deceased, to the cemetery, where he was eventually laid to rest.

Ibrahin is an automobile and motorcycle enthusiast who owns a number of high-end vehicles.

Ibrahim Mahama paid his final respects to Papa Lee by leaving his Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP behind during the burial procession of his deceased comrade.

“I had to ride today.” He posted a message on Instagram that read, “In honour of my brother and friend Papa Lee #RIP.”

Among Ghanaian motorbike enthusiasts, the late Papa Lee is revered as a legend with a special knack for safety.

After a brief illness, the 51-year-old former British Police officer is reported to have passed away, leaving a wife and three children in his wake.
