A dramatic first-person video shows a Russian fighter pilot ejecting from his plane seconds before it explodes in a massive blaze.

The video begins inside the Sukhoi Su-25SM fighter plane, staring out the windscreen, and was released to the Russian Fighterbomber Telegram account on Sunday.

The pilot then leaps from the plane, and his parachute is seen releasing before the single-seat jet crashes and explodes.

He may be heard groaning as he falls in dense undergrowth near the debris.

“This is probably the first ever action camera combat jet ejection footage,” Rome-based aviation blogger David Cenciotti wrote on his The Aviationist website.

A minute later, the pilot can be heard conversing on the radio.

It was unclear when and where the accident occurred, or whether the plane was hit by Ukrainian troops.

Military expert Rob Lee also posted the stunning video on Twitter, calling it “crazy helmet camera footage.”

The video was released after two Russian pilots were murdered when their plane collided with a Siberian residence on Sunday.

The plane, a Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet thought to be on a test flight, smashed into a building in the Russian city of Irkutsk, claimed the region’s governor Igor Kobzev in a Telegram message.

Kobzev also released video of firefighters crawling over the wreckage and spraying water on the debris.

A Sukhoi Su-34 bomber crashed into an apartment building in the southern Russian city of Yeysk, bordering Ukraine, last Monday, killing at least 15 people and injured 19. Following an initial inquiry, officials determined that the reason was a technological glitch.
