A durbar was hosted by the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, in honour of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.
As part of the Asantehene’s historic visit to the state of Georgia, the celebration featured a range of traditional displays.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, promised to provide 500,000 Ghana cedis to the education fund that helps underprivileged youngsters in the Ga community during his speech at the Ga Mantse Palace.

He made it clear that his visit was a part of initiatives to bring the Asante and Ga people together and end rumours of animosity between the two tribes.
Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, thanked the Asantehene for his assistance. In addition, he urged everyone to keep the peace and concord before, during, and after the next elections.
