Wizkid deletes album promotion tweet following the death of Davido’s son

The Grammy award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats star, Wizkid, has deleted his promotional tweet about the release of his impending ‘Money & Love’ studio album, which has been scheduled to be released on November 4th.

On Monday night, Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, tweeted about the album as he shared a promotional cover, but he had to delete it right away after learning about the passing of his colleague singer, Davido’s first son, Ifeanyi.

Wizkid after deleting the post from the micro social media platform has since been applauded by many users for showing respect even though he is yet to publish a post on social media to address the sad event.

The sad news of Ifeanyi’s death was announced on Monday night, October 31, 2022, just a few days after celebrating his third birthday which was on October 20th.

And according to reports, Ifeanyi got drowned in a pool at Davido’s Banana Island home.

Confirming the death of his son, the popular Nigerian Singer and entertainer, Davido took to his official Instagram account on Monday night where he shared a black photo with the caption; “Trying Times. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful”.
