The incident occurred in the suburb of Hinchinbrook when an alleged road rage dispute escalated and a speeding car lost control, ultimately smashing into the home.

Lucila Medramo, the homeowner, was in her living room when the car came barreling toward the house.

She recounted the terrifying moment, saying, “It was just two seconds.

Two seconds I was from the room—I just went out to get something.”

The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. local time. A 25-year-old man was driving the car, with a 29-year-old woman as his passenger.

Fortunately, neither the driver nor the passenger sustained any injuries, and neither did Medramo or her husband, who were in the house at the time.

According to the Sydney Police Department, the incident occurred after a road rage dispute between two vehicles.

The driver of a smaller car, reportedly being chased by the larger vehicle, lost control and crashed into the wall of Medramo’s house.

Medramo immediately called her grown daughter, clearly shaken and unsure of what to do.

“I didn’t know what to do,” she said, as she shared the distressing news of the crash. Neighbors were alerted to the situation by the deafening sound of the crash and expressed concern when Medramo and her husband didn’t immediately emerge from the home.

“I heard a big bang, a massive bang,” one neighbor recalled. “I was really scared when I didn’t see them come out straight away.”

The house, which Medramo and her husband have lived in for 35 years, may now have serious structural damage, though further assessments are pending.

The local police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are looking into the reported road rage incident.
