The organizers of the annually held VGMAs (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards) have finally come out with the official date for the awards to hold.
Taken to their social media pages, the organizers of the awards scheme revealed that the award will come off in a two-day segmented event, starting from Friday, May 6th, through to the next day for continuation, which is 7th May 2022.
The venue for the 2022 VGMAs is set for the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Center (AICC).

The full list of Nominees For Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2022, was announced on Saturday, March 19th, and it started from 11 am through to 4 pm, with the nominees’ announcement show at 8 pm, which aired live on TV3 & on VGMA Social media pages.
In this year’s edition, there have been some new developments as we noticed that four new categories have been added which are; EP of the Year, Best Gospel Song, Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year and Best Aforbeats/Afropop Artiste.
Ghana’s heavyweight, and multiple award-winning rap icon, Sarkodie happens to be one of the highest acts in the list with more nominations, leading with nine (9) slots, KiDi followed with eight (8) nominations, Black Sherif seven (7) Kuami Eugene has six (6), Rapper cum singer Fameye also had five (5).
