Tragedy struck on the evening of December 7, 2024, when five people were found dead in an apartment complex in DeKalb County, Atlanta.
According to reports from Fox 5 Atlanta, Atlanta News First, and NBC affiliate 11 Alive, police discovered the bodies of three adults and two young children — a 5-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy — fatally shot.
The horrific discovery was made after authorities responded to a welfare check request at the apartment complex around 7:30 p.m. local time.
When they arrived, they found the victims in a gruesome scene, and initial reports suggest the incident is being investigated as a domestic-related murder-suicide.
The adult victims included a 43-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, and a 26-year-old woman. The identities of the deceased have not yet been made public.
