According to Angel TV, a 15-year sentence for robbery was handed down by the Kumasi Circuit Court in the Ashanti Region to 18-year-old Gabriel Osei Kwame, a student at Adanwomase Senior High School.

According to the allegation, Gabriel used a knife to attack his female teacher, Matilda Boatemaa, at her home and stole food and valuables.

It is said that he took vital teacher paperwork, a mobile phone, a bag of rice, and GH¢570 in cash.

When Gabriel appeared in court, he acknowledged his guilt but withheld the identity of the recipient of the stolen items.

The article stated that the judge, displeased by his acts, sentenced him to 15 years in prison with hard work.

Kwesi Oppong, a reporter with Angel TV, gave the following account:

“He grabbed a knife and confronted a female teacher, taking her rice and stew.” Along with certain documents, he also took GH¢570 and an Infinix Hot 9 smartphone, which was valued at GH¢700. When the police arrested him, he admitted to selling the goods but wouldn’t say who the purchasers were.

“He admitted the charges in court, but he once more withheld the buyers’ identities. In an effort to teach him a lesson, the judge then sentenced him to 15 years of hard labour.
