Manchester United fans will be pleased to hear that Marcus Rashford is making progress in his recovery from the toe injury he sustained in the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Fulham.
The England international missed out on international duty as a result of the injury but has now returned to light training ahead of United’s clash with Newcastle.
In a statement released by the club, it was confirmed that Rashford had taken part in a small training session on Monday, though he did not participate in any ball work.
It remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to start against Newcastle on Sunday, but United will be keen to have their leading goalscorer available for the game.

The clash with Newcastle is an important one for United, who are currently sitting in third place in the Premier League table.
With just a point separating them from fourth-placed Tottenham, and Newcastle hot on their heels with 47 points, the race for Champions League qualification is heating up.
If Rashford is not fit enough to start, United manager Erik ten Hag will have some decisions to make.
He could move Jadon Sancho over to the left or involve young talents Facundo Pellistri or Anthony Elanga.
It has been a frustrating season for Elanga, who recently expressed his disappointment at his lack of game time under Ten Hag.
The 19-year-old will be hoping to make an impact if given the opportunity against Newcastle.
