Nigerian afrobeat singer, Davido, has revealed that his father, Chief Adedeji Adeleke, sent policemen to arrest him several times during the beginning of his music career.

According to the musician, his father was against his decision to pursue a music career and always insisted that he focus on his education instead.

In the interview, Davido also revealed that his father is now his biggest fan and supporter.

He acknowledged that his father’s initial opposition to his music career was driven by his desire for him to take his education seriously.
