Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva has finally reacted to circulating reports about his future as Stanford Bridge as rumours have it that he could leave the Blues in the summer and head back to Brazil.
The 39-year-old joined Chelsea in 2020 and quickly established himself as an indispensable part of the club’s defence, helping them to win the Champions League in 2021.
In September, there were reports that after his contract ends this season, he might go back to his first club, Fluminense, in Brazil.

As we already know, his contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, and yet we have no clue as to whether he would love an extension or will call it a uit already.
Addressing the matter in a recent interview with Globo Esporte, the former PSG defender did not want to delve into the subject as he says he would like to remain silent at the moment.
“This relationship has been going on for a long time, right? But I prefer to remain silent at this moment, as there has already been some controversy in the recent past.
“I now have a family, I have children. So we have to think about this aspect too. It’s about seeing where things can bring us happiness, to finish this beautiful and successful career that I believe I have achieved.” he told Globo Esporte.
