Latest Entertainment News, Ghana (Townflex) – The long and contentious legal battle between former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan, and his ex-wife, Gifty Gyan, has come to a conclusion in an Accra court.
This three-year legal ordeal, which began with Asamoah Gyan’s divorce filing, has finally reached an end.
It would be recalled that the Ghanaian football legend filed for divorce at the High Court with claims that he was not the father of their three children and then requested a DNA test be carried out.
In a significant ruling on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, a High Court in Accra, Ghana, upheld Gifty Gyan’s claims, confirming through a DNA test that Asamoah Gyan is legally recognized as the father of their three children.

The court, presided over by Hafisata Ameleboba JA, granted a monthly maintenance fee of GHC 25,000 cedis to be paid to Gifty Gyan. However, the court declined to award alimony to her.
As part of the settlement, Gifty Gyan was granted ownership of Asamoah Gyan’s mansion in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, she received a four-bedroom apartment in Spintex, Accra, Ghana, which had been purchased for her prior to their marriage in 2013.
Gifty Gyan was also awarded two cars, becoming the owner of a BMW vehicle and an Infiniti that Asamoah Gyan previously possessed. The court further granted her ownership of a gas-filling station in Prampram.
