In a dramatic turn of events, A$AP Relli, the former friend of rapper A$AP Rocky, has confessed to deleting crucial text messages that could impact the ongoing assault case against the rapper.
The admission came during the fourth day of Rocky’s trial on January 30, where Relli was cross-examined by Rocky’s defense attorney, Joe Tacopina.
Relli had previously claimed that his phone showed three texts from Rocky, but evidence presented by Tacopina revealed significant inconsistencies between the two men’s devices.
Rocky’s phone contained four deleted messages from Relli, which allegedly included threats and insults, such as “You got all this fake animosity towards me lol beat me up,” “n* I wish u would,” and “Give me a reason n*.”

Initially, Relli dismissed the messages as fabrications, but under pressure, he admitted to deleting them.

When asked why, he offered no clear explanation but maintained that the texts were still an indication of Rocky’s hostility toward him.
The trial also featured a tense moment when video evidence appeared to show Rocky confronting Relli while holding what prosecutors claim was a handgun.
However, Tacopina argued that the weapon was a prop gun, meant to intimidate but not cause harm.
Throughout the trial, Relli has been a reluctant witness, often responding with “I don’t recall” during cross-examination.
Rocky’s partner, Rihanna, has been seen in court, offering her support to the rapper, whose fate now rests in the hands of the jury.
The case, which revolves around an alleged shooting on November 6, 2021, could have serious consequences for A$AP Rocky if he is convicted.
