The squad members Daniel Amartey, Andre and Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, and others were spotted looking fierce in the Kente cloth in pictures that went viral on social media.

Due to their pairing in Group B, Chris Hughton’s team will play Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde in the AFCON group stage.

On Sunday, January 14, the Black Stars will, nevertheless, begin their campaign in the Ivory Coast with a challenging test against Cape Verde.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has stated that the Black Stars’ 2023 AFCON budget will not be made public until after the tournament

According to the Ministry’s PRO, Charles Amofa, the budget for the national team is still being deliberated and spendings are being made on a daily basis.

He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to rather pray for Chris Hughton and his players to succeed in the Ivory Coast.

Following the competition, Ghanaians will be informed about the current status of the AFCON budget. We will ask everyone to pray for the team for the time being, Amofa said to Asempa FM.
