After a thwarted event, Cheddar leads a group of radical African leaders to meet John Mahama

Jacob Osei Yeboah, also known as Cheddar and the force behind #TheNewForce movement, has held discussions with John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This meeting follows the sudden cancellation by the government of the “The Convention” event scheduled for January 7, 2024, at Independence Square, where notable African political figures were set to speak.

The government cited an unforeseen State Event at the venue as the reason for blocking the pre-planned and paid-for event. In response, a letter from the Chief of Staff at Jubilee House revoked the permission and promised a refund of the GH¢10,000 booking fee.

Prominent figures initially expected at the event included Peter Obi, Julius Malema, P.L.O Lumumba, and Arikana Chihombori-Quao. Cheddar, the organizer, subsequently met with John Dramani Mahama and some dignitaries involved in the event.

The event, known as the Black Star Line Festival, faced a last-minute cancellation, disappointing attendees and performers such as Efya, Stonebwoy, and Wiyaala.
