Argentina defeated France to win the 2022 World Cup under the inspirational leadership of Lionel Messi.

After the two sides played for more than 100 minutes, which resulted in penalties after each team scored three goals at the end of the additional 30 minutes added to the regular time, the contest between France and Argentina took a dramatic turn.
