Barcelona top star to miss Final La Liga Game at Estadio De Ipurua against Eibar
FC Barcelona confirmed early this morning that star captain Lionel Messi will miss the Bulgranes final La Liga game of the season on Saturday against Eibar at Estadio De Ipurua.
The Spanish giant announced via a statement on the club’s official website that the Argentine forward has been given permission to take a short break ahead of a busy summer at the Copa America with Argentina.
“Leo has not trained this Friday morning with the permission of Koeman and will not be in the call-up for the match against Eibar this Saturday. In this way, the Argentine star can face a short break before the Copa America, after a season in which he has been one of the players with more minutes in the squad.”
Messi is not the only player to have been granted a vacation after a hectic schedule in 2020-21. Teenage midfielder Pedri will also miss Saturday’s game to take an early break after making 52 appearances for the club in his debut campaign.
