The anti-LGBTQ bill, also known as the promotion of human sexual rights and family values bill, was passed by the Ghanaian Parliament.

The measure forbids LGBT-related activities and makes funding, advocacy, and promotion of the group illegal.

Promoters and sponsors of the act face sentences ranging from three to five years in prison, while those caught in the act might face a sentence of six months to three years in prison.

Promoters and sponsors of the act may be imprisoned for three to five years, while those found performing the act may receive a sentence of six months to three years in prison.
