West Ham defeated Brentford in the Premier League, and Jarrod Bowen’s first-ever senior hat-trick relieved manager David Moyes’s workload.

Prior to Monday night, the hosts had not triumphed in a game in 2024. Their most recent match at London Stadium ended in a 6-0 loss to Arsenal, which caused a large number of home supporters to depart at halftime.

However, West Ham answered brilliantly, defeating the struggling Bees 2-0 in less than ten minutes.

In the fifth minute, Bowen scored his first goal after his shot struck the crossbar. Two minutes later, he scored again, this time off a feed from Vladimir Coufal.

Neal Maupay quickly cut the lead in half with a scooping finish, and after Mohammed Kudus knocked Sergio Reguilon over in the area, Brentford’s requests for a penalty were rejected.

To the relief of the Hammers supporters, Bowen headed home his third goal midway through the second half after a tense period in which Brentford threatened to draw even.

Even though Brentford’s Yoane Wissa scored a second goal, it was unable to prevent West Ham from winning as Emerson’s incredible strike into the top corner completed an incredible evening for the Hammers

In the Premier League, West Ham climbs to eighth place, while Brentford remains in 16th place, five points above the relegation zone.
