As part of its continuous efforts to enhance the welfare of Nigeria’s children, The David Adeleke Foundation, or DAF, is happy to announce today that it has committed to provide an additional ₦300 million (189K USD) to orphanages throughout the country.
Over the last four years, The David Adeleke Foundation (DAF), which is dedicated to improving the lives of others and giving back, has successfully donated over ₦1 billion NAIRA (657k USD) to Nigeria’s most disadvantaged citizens.
Davido was raised with a great appreciation for his father’s charitable endeavors, which shaped his own outlook on life. “We rise by lifting others” is a statement that has always resonated with me, he remarked. It implies that I want other individuals to grow alongside me as I do.

This donation, like those from earlier campaigns, has been given with great thought and a strong commitment to improving the lives of Nigeria’s impoverished children. The DAF payout Committee will supervise the payout process, which is expected to start in the upcoming weeks and guarantee accountability and transparency in the distribution of funds.
The David Adeleke Foundation recognises the value of accountability and openness in humanitarian endeavours and that it would take some time to distribute these cash to the many orphanages. Along with this year’s announcement, Davido has shared a full list of past donation beneficiaries on his social media accounts.
Within the next three weeks, the DAF hopes to get the disbursement process finished. The DAF team will put forth great effort to confirm and handle payments to the chosen orphanages nationwide during this period. Updates regarding the disbursement’s status will be sent promptly in the interim.

David Adeleke, often known as “Davido,” was passionate about helping people and his generosity gave birth to the DAVID ADELEKE FOUNDATION. Davido is well-known for having lived by the proverb “We Rise By Lifting Others,” which has become his catchphrase over time.
In addition to funding COVID-19 virus research through donations from his song video, he has paid for the surgeries of sick Nigerians and provided scholarships to both domestic and foreign students.
After turning 29, Davido asked his friends and people he had assisted in the industry to donate, and the David Adeleke Foundation had its start. Davido further demonstrated his compassion and assistance to many by receiving millions of Naira in a matter of minutes from a variety of celebrities and organizations that had benefited from him in one way or another.
Within a few days, Davido received two hundred million naira from the public. He then added fifty million naira to the amount already obtained and gave the entire amount—two hundred and fifty million naira—to orphanages all throughout the nation.
