Emma Heming Willis, the wife of Hollywood star Bruce Willis, recently provided fans with insight into his ongoing struggle with dementia.

In a heartfelt update shared on her official and verified Instagram account, Emma opened up about her role as a ‘care partner’ to her husband and how his health condition impacts her life.

Emma emphasized her commitment to being a supportive and attentive ‘care partner’ to Bruce as he copes with his deteriorating health. She candidly expressed her own challenges, admitting, ‘I’m not good,’ in an emotional video on Instagram.

Accompanying her video message, Emma captioned, ‘This is a care partner PSA 🔊 My message is simple. When we are not looking after ourselves, we are no good to the people we love who we want to show up for and take care of.

‘I don’t have this down to a fine-science either, but I try. It’s an affirmation I use daily so it’s kept in the forefront of my mind.

‘Your pictures, words of support and love for me and my family were felt. Honestly, thank you, it helps 🙏🏽

Emma further revealed her daily efforts to live her best life for herself, their two children, and Bruce. She underlined Bruce’s desire for her to lead a fulfilling life and clarified that her actions are not meant to be misunderstood.

Emma in the video said; “I know it looks like I’m out living my best life – I have to make a conscious effort every single day to live the best life that I can,” said Emma.

“I do that for myself. I do that for our two children. And Bruce, who would not want me to live any other way. So I don’t want it to be misconstrued,” she added.

Frontotemporal dementia primarily impacts the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, and while dementia typically affects individuals over 65, frontotemporal dementia often emerges at a younger age. Most cases are diagnosed in people between 45 and 65 years old, although it can affect individuals both younger and older.”
