Sadio Mane wins CAD Awards 2022 African Player Of The Year (men) Award

The moment football lovers across the African continent have been waiting for which is to see which of Africa’s players will deserve to be crowned as the best player on the continent has finally arrived.

Well, just as you all know, the 2022 CAF awards which were scheduled to come off on Tuesday, July 21, 2022, in Morocco have finally come to an end and the winners in all the nominated categories have been announced.

Senegalese and Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane has emerged as the winner of the Caf 2022 African Player of the year award for the men’s side.

Mane managed to emerge as the winner of the 3-men category after beating his national colleague and Chelsea’s Goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, as well as his former Liverpool clubmate, Egypt’s Mohamed Salah.

Well, that is, however, great news for the people of Senegal as well as the fan of the German team, Bayern Munich.

In the female player of the year category, a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Primera División club FC Barcelona, Asisat Lamina Oshoala MON was crowned the winner.

Ghana’s Evelyn Badu won two awards, she emerged as the winner of the Young Player of the Year (Women), and also the Interclub Player of the Year (Women) categories. Evelyn plays her football for Ghana female national team & Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies/Alvaldsnes.
